Natural Fibers
We select our natural and raw materials.
They come from stagnant stocks of French factories to value production surpluses.
Or producers such as sheep wool that comes directly from the mountains of the Moroccan Atlas or cotton that comes from the region of Sine Salom in Senegal.
Fatima Zouaou is our collaborator in Ouarzazate and comes from Anzal, the heart of the Siroua region. She provides us with 100% hand spun Moroccan wool, white or black.
Natural Dyeing
All the colors we offer are from vegetable dyes. The recipes used ensure resistance to washing and sunlight. We only use plants that have proven their durability throughout history.
Our colors are bright and luminous on both threads and fabrics.
The dyes are made in the workshop of Brodeuse Voyageuse in Marrakech, to control production. The water of natural dyes, very valuable for us, is recycled in the garden.
Carpet weaving
From traditional weaving techniques on carpet looms, we offer contemporary models. We play on the variations of the knotted hand and the technique of the Boucharouite as well as on the nuances of natural dyes.
Since 2021, we have been working with the Nisae El Khir cooperative in the Chichaoua region. These artisans like to experiment and test new materials and designs. They work with the goal of achieving excellence on a daily basis.
Hand embroidery
Embroidery is the starting point of the Brodeuse Voyageuse project. It is a practice shared by all peoples, that women pass on from mother to daughter to save their history and culture.
Kaoutar Oumenssour joined the workshop in 2021. She grew up in the Mzouda region and learned the secrets of Rozlaby embroidery with the women of her village. She excels in her daily practice. Independent and conscientious young woman, she learned English by herself.
