The request was: a pattern inspired by Penrose paving!
When mathematics and craft meet!
Back on a nice family project.
There were material requirements: fluffy wool and shiny silk.
There was a desire for geometric patterns but not too much.

In traditional Berber weaving, carpets are usually rectangular or square.
We wanted to imagine a different rendering of this ancestral technique.

I had the pleasure of receiving a custom order for a French interior carpet.
After having explained the process of creation and realization to the client, she was able to follow
step by step the production of its carpet.
From the sourcing of wool in the Siroua to the weaving cm by cm of this beautiful piece
by the preparation of the drawing (which is at the size of the living room) and the dyeing of the threads.
At Brodeuse Voyageuse, we love more than anything to include the client in the process
so that he can understand the whole story behind a creation.
